Friday nights; September 18, 2009 - March 19, 2010; 6:30 - 8:10

For kids in grades K-5

Send your kids to a mini-VBS each week as they learn to become disciples of the Savior of the world, Jesus Christ. Each week your child will enjoy music, a skit or puppet show, gym time, craft time, a light snack, and most importantly, class time.  The curriculum Friday Footsteps uses is the DiscipleLand Adventure Series.

The DiscipleLand Adventure Series will help equip your kids for /files/images/Adventure Logo.jpgChristian service as they explore topics that take them on journeys to exciting locations around the world. Each adventure will enable your children to grow into victorious disciples who:

  • display Christlike character in every area of life,
  • develop a reservoir of knowledge based on a biblical worldview, and
  • demonstrate faithful conduct that honors God and helps people.

We at Friday Footsteps continue to be mindful of the awful devastation in Haiti, especially to the people of that nation. We have asked each child to ask his/her parent(s)/guardian(s) for permission to collect change for Haiti. Toward that end, every child has made a "bank" during Craft time this evening. This "bank" is theirs to keep, regardless if you and your child decide to collect change for Haiti. All collected donations should be brought into Friday Footsteps on either March 5 or March 12, where the bank will be emptied and returned to the child.

Please note that (i) there is no "reward" for collecting the most donations and (ii) no individual records of giving will be recorded. All money collected will be given to Converge NorthEast, NSCBC's regional affiliate of Converge Worldwide (formerly the Baptist General Conference). The donations will be directed by Converge NorthEast to specific needs in Haiti through Rev. Withny Pierre, Director of Haitian Missions for Converge Worldwide, as well as through Soliny Vedrine, Pastor of Boston Missionary Haitian Baptist Church, and Mulley Jean Pierre, Pastor of Beraca Haitian Baptist in Brooklyn, NY.
