Bobby Warrenburg

Senior Pastor
bobby@nscbc.org

Bobby is excited to lead a church that is committed to making disciples, reaching the lost, and living on mission together. Bobby is originally from Austin, TX, and received his Bachelor of Business Administration and Master’s in Professional Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin. After spending some time working in business, he felt a call to ministry and went to China with his wife, Julie, for three years as a church planter. Bobby then came to New England to study at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, where he received his Master of Divinity degree. He has most recently served for eight years at a church in Southwest London as the Associate Pastor and then Senior Pastor. Bobby and Julie have four children: William, Grace, Annie, and Lucy. Bobby enjoys cycling, reading, Netflix, meals with friends, and (don’t tell anyone) bird-watching.

Ben Friedman

Associate Pastor
ben@nscbc.org

Ben is originally from Moorestown, NJ, a suburb just outside of Philadelphia. He attended college at the University of Alabama, where he was converted, and eventually received his call to ministry. His wife, Stephanie, and he were previously in Southern California for three and a half years, where he served as a youth pastor, and received his Masters of Divinity from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary (GGBTS), before joining NSCBC in October 2017. He and Stephanie have two young kids, Piper and Karis. His hobbies include running, hiking, reading, exploring the area with Stephanie, and generally trying to keep up with his kids. Ben is excited to pray for and labor for a gospel movement on the North Shore.

Melissa Lowther

Ministry Associate
melissa@nscbc.org

Melissa grew up outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Valley Forge as a theological studies major, minoring in church music. She also graduated from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary (GCTS) with a Master of Divinity degree. Melissa began as the Office Administrator at NSCBC and moved into the Ministry Associate role in January 2017. She’s excited to help implement and support ministries of the church as we seek a gospel movement on the North Shore. Melissa has been a member of NSCBC since 2011. Her other interests include exploring the North Shore with her husband Greg, singing, and enjoying all things chocolate.

Richard Wallace

Ministry Associate
richard@nscbc.org

Richard came to New England from the other side of the Atlantic, growing up in Ballymena, Northern Ireland, before moving to Cambridge, England for university and a subsequent career as a Software Engineer. After working on staff for two churches in Northern Ireland, Richard decided to come to America to study for a Masters of Divinity at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Richard loves the North Shore and the people here and is passionate to see as many people as possible across Essex County hearing, understanding, and being changed by the gospel of Jesus. He and his wife, Tess, have been members of NSCBC since 2016 and now live in downtown Beverly. They love to spend as much time as possible outdoors on the North Shore, and are very fond of all the local seafood. Richard particularly enjoys playing and watching rugby, but is yet to find a sport that he doesn’t enjoy (Go Red Sox!)

Brittany Casey

Worship Director
worship@nscbc.org

Brittany is originally from Huntsville, Alabama, but she grew up in Rochester Hills, Michigan. She attended Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee where she received her Bachelor of Music degree in vocal performance. After graduating college, Brittany worked in marketing at a record label in Nashville before moving to New England with her husband, Cameron, where they joined NSCBC in May 2016. Brittany has spent many years working in business but has been serving in worship ministries since high school. She has a passion for leading others in worship and looks forward to glorifying God during our Sunday morning gatherings as we attempt to re-tell the gospel story each week. She has also spent multiple years serving in youth ministry and loves that NSCBC is an intergenerational church family. Her hobbies include going to coffee shops with Cameron, singing, reading books based in the 19th century, and cheering on the Alabama football team (roll tide!).

Genesia Christensen

Director of Children’s Ministries
children@nscbc.org

Genesia, along with her husband Eric, have been blessed to attend NSCBC for the past 20 years, serving in just about all of the children’s ministry areas. She came to the area from Vermont, while attending Gordon College where she received her Bachelor’s of Science in Elementary Education and English. She continued on to receive her Master’s in Education from the University of New England. After teaching for several years, she decided to stay home while raising their three children; Madelyn, Aiden and Owen. Living in Gloucester, her family loves doing anything and everything at the beach!

Ted C.

Volunteer Director of Outreach Ministries
outreach@nscbc.org

Ted is thankful to be a part of God’s family in general, and specifically the church family at NSCBC. He is a New Englander, having grown up in Manchester, NH, and then moved to Boston to pursue molecular biology at MIT and BU, with the intention of heading into medicine. But God redirected those plans and led him and his wife, Debbie, to East Asia with Cru to reach college students in urban areas with the gospel. They spent 17 years there along with their two wonderful daughters, Amanda and Lindsay. They returned to the U.S. in 2015 to continue to reach college students with Cru, but now in the needy field of the U.S. Ted recently finished a Master of Divinity degree at GCTS. Ted is a ridiculously devoted Patriots and Red Sox fan, likes C.S. Lewis almost as much as Bobby does, enjoys board games, goes on early morning runs while listening to podcasts and audio books, and plays a surprisingly mean game of ultimate frisbee for an old guy.

Kim B.

Volunteer Connect Ministries Coordinator
connect@nscbc.org

Kim is originally from Upstate New York and is a big Syracuse University basketball fan. She moved to the North Shore two years ago to attend Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and will be graduating in May 2018 with a Masters of Art in the Old Testament and Discipleship. With a goal of spending as little time in the library as possible, you can find her exploring different parts of the area typically with textbooks in tow. Influenced by the community she experienced in Young Life, she is enthusiastic about creating spaces for others to connect not only with God but also where they can be known and loved by others.

Amy Tuck

Administrative Assistant
office@nscbc.org

Amy grew up in San Jose, CA and moved to the North Shore in 2015. She started calling NSCBC her home church in 2015 and became a member in 2017. She got her BA in Youth Ministry at Eastern University in PA. Amy is grateful to be given the opportunity to learn from experienced Christians and see people in different walks of life and how that plays into the church. She loves organizing and working with children. Some of her hobbies include swing dancing, rock climbing, hiking, and theatre.

Ruth Feins

Bookkeeper
bookkeeper@nscbc.org

Ruth Feins grew up in Scotland, graduating from the University of Edinburgh with a science degree. She has lived in Beverly for about 10 years with her husband Dan, 2 teenage daughters (Becca and Iona), and their dog, cat and bird. Ruth has been a member of NSCBC since 2007 and has served in a variety of ministry areas including worship ministries, Christian education, and community care. Her interests include singing, learning to play the piano, arts and crafts, and nature walks with the dog.

Maria Reiss

Assistant Bookkeeper
bookkeeper@nscbc.org

Maria is from all over the Midwest and set down roots on the North Shore in 2009. She’s been a member of NSCBC since 2009 and has been involved in various ministry aspects of the church. She received her BA in Elementary Education from Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, IL and received her M. Ed as a math specialist from Gordon. She currently teaches middle school math and enjoys using her love of math to benefit the church as Assistant Bookkeeper. In her spare time, Maria enjoys playing volleyball, ultimate frisbee, taking stats for the church softball team, or sitting around a campfire with friends.

DEACONS
