Genesia, along with her husband Eric, have been blessed to attend NSCBC for the past 20 years, serving in just about all of the children's ministry areas.  She came to the area from Vermont, while attending Gordon College where she received her Bachelor's of Science in Elementary Education and English.  She continued on to receive her Master's in Education from the University of New England.  After teaching for several years, she decided to stay home while raising their three children; Madelyn, Aiden and Owen.  Living in Gloucester, her family loves doing anything and everything at the beach!

Ted C., Volunteer Director of Outreach MinistriesChild,Ted

Ted is thankful to be a part of God's family in general, and specifically the church family at NSCBC. He is a New Englander, having grown up in Manchester, NH, and then moved to Boston to pursue molecular biology at MIT and BU, with the intention of heading into medicine. But God redirected those plans and led him and his wife, Debbie, to East Asia as missionaries with Cru to reach college students in urban areas with the gospel. They spent 17 great years there along with their two wonderful college-age daughters, Amanda and Lindsay. They returned to the U.S. in 2015 to continue to reach college students with Cru, but now in the needy mission field of the U.S. Ted is also trying to remember how to be a student himself as he finishes a Master of Divinity degree at GCTS. Ted is a ridiculously devoted Patriots and Red Sox fan, likes C.S. Lewis almost as much as Bobby does, enjoys board games, goes on early morning runs while listening to podcasts and audio books, and plays a surprisingly mean game of ultimate frisbee for an old guy.
