What to Expect

No matter who you are or where you are coming from you can expect to be welcomed at NSCBC! Our services are informal in style. No prior knowledge is assumed and there is no expectation for you to say or pray something you don’t believe. Don’t worry about what to wear. We encourage everyone to wear whatever they feel comfortable in.
Every service is focused around a God-centered theme and has music, prayers, Bible readings, and a sermon to reflect this theme. Our worship services blend various musical styles and practices — some traditional and some contemporary. The sermon is a about a 30 minute talk explaining how the good news of the gospel contained in the Bible is relevant and transformational for our lives today.
Our Sunday services are a retelling of the gospel story and consist of 4 acts:
  • God gathers us to Himself
  • God speaks to us through His Word
  • God moves us to respond
  • God sends us out to serve.
We hope our time of gathered worship will provide a space for you to freely worship and explore the Christian faith. This is a space where you can come with your questions, burdens, and joys. All are welcome here.
As we gather together to worship, our hope is that we’re “seeing what God is worth and giving him what he’s worth” (Tim Keller). Not only in our services, but in every aspect of our lives. Worship is offering our whole lives to God (Romans 12:1).
After each service you're very welcome to stay for coffee and snacks and a chance to meet others.
