The third habit of resilient Christ followers

This summer, we’ve been discussing how many of the young people who continue to have a vibrant relationship with Jesus tend to have 5 things in common.

Habit 3: The 34% of youth who stayed connected to Christ into adulthood had a weekly spiritual experience at home.

VBS is great. It can really help kids understand the gospel. But please don’t internalize a message that a once/year “event” like VBS can replace what happens inside your home.

Simple, reasonably consistent experiences inside your home matter! Don’t overcomplicate it, keep trying, and find good resources that your family can connect with.

What’s one concrete step you can take to help your kids develop intergenerational relationships in the church this summer? Here’s something that can help: look for a bucket of materials on the children’s resource table outside the sanctuary. You’ll find easy to use devotionals (photo above) and other fun material to help your family “grow with God” this summer!

Easter Sunday Services,
April 20th
9a and 11a!

Children’s Ministry:

Nursery, Preschool Worship, and Children‘s Worship (ages 4.5-2nd grade) are during both services (instead of Sunday School).

There will be activity bags for older kids (3rd grade+) during this (shorter) worship service.

The Easter/Resurrection egg hunt will be in Preschool Worship and Children‘s Worship, instead of between the services.
