Starting May 29, capacity-related COVID-19 restrictions in MA will end, including all restrictions on attendance at NSCBC. Here are a few notes of what this means for our Sunday services starting May 30:
- Attendance: We will be removing restrictions on attendance limits. This means that there will no longer be a sign-up or restricted seating areas for our 10:00 AM service in the sanctuary, our live-link video service on the lawn, or in our Children’s Ministry.
- Masks: Also in line with CDC guidance, masks will no longer be required, including indoors, for those who are fully vaccinated. For those who are not yet fully vaccinated, the CDC is recommending the continuing use of masks, and so while we are not going to be adding our own requirement, we do encourage you to follow the recommendations of the CDC.
- Children: This does mean that we will be able to re-open our children’s offerings this summer. Children’s worship will remain open for next Sunday, but we will not be able to offer nursery and toddler class right away, as we build our volunteer base. We hope to have these open as soon as possible, and will let you know as soon as these become available, as well as any additional safety guidance surrounding these offerings. We are in need of volunteers for nursery and toddler class, so please reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org, if you are interested in serving in this capacity.
We will continue to follow all the safety guidance that has been recommended to us by the state, including ventilation, air purifiers, and sanitization. We recognize that not everyone might feel comfortable regathering in the sanctuary at this time, so you’re very welcome to continue joining us on the lawn for the outdoor service, or over the livestream at 10am.
