Gospel Equipping Class: Exercising Discernment in an Age of Mass Media

Date & Time: Sundays, October 30-Dec 18  at 11:00 AM  in Friendship Hall. Led by: Brian Indrelie In a world of so many voices, which voices do we trust? And hearing stories of church scandals or immense hurt caused by once trusted leaders, how can we even trust voices in the church? These can be hard questions to answer, however, the epistles in the New Testament give using true teachers from false ones. While doctrine is one criterion given, there are several others as well which if we heed will do us well! In studying these passages we hope to be a wiser, healthier, and more biblical church community.

Sunday Evening Services

The Evening Service is an accessible worship service held on the first and third Sunday of each month either in-person or on Zoom. We seek to bring together people of all physical, cognitive, social and economic abilities to love God and love each other. When we meet in-person, the evening begins with a meal. At both in-person and Zoom services we play games, sing, pray and hear a message from God’s Word. We enjoy learning through hands-on activities, videos, pictures and discussion.

  • World focus: Pray for our world partners M&S in West Asia in their work training pastors. We ask for God's protection on this ministry and the pastors they train since there is much persecution of churches and pastors in this part of the world.
  • Community focus:Pray for children waiting for a foster family placement and the DCF workers who care for them.
  • NSCBC focus: We rejoice in God's provision in providing Laura Range, our new Minister of Families and Children.
  • Congregation: We pray for those in our congregation who are suffering with long-term illnesses.
  • Do you have prayer concerns? Email, submit at, or call the church office.
