Care and Support
And may the Lord cause you to increase and overflow with love for one another and for everyone, just as we do for you.
1 Thessalonians 3:12
Need Support?
As a church serving a gospel movement on the North Shore, we are committed to the ministry of prayer where we partner with God for his purposes in the world.
Prayer Ministries
Prayer is an integral part of a gospel movement and happens in various ways within the life of the church. Use this form to share your prayer requests with our community. Confidential prayer requests will be distributed only to church leadership to be lifted up in prayer during our prayer meetings. Public prayer requests will be shared in our prayer newsletter and printed in the bulletin.
After Service Prayer
Our prayer team is available after every worship service in the back of the sanctuary. These teams of men and women are trained to listen to your prayer request and pray for you.
The mission of the after-service prayer time is to receive the prayers of people in our community and lift their needs, concerns, joys, desires, and requests to God. We aim to bless those who come for prayer by first listening to the person and then praying for the person.
Friday Morning Prayer
We are meeting in person for our Friday morning prayer meetings at 6:30–7:30am to pray for the kingdom to advance in Essex County. Join us in Friendship Hall (downstairs at NSCBC) or click here to join us on Zoom with the password: prayer.
Deacon Led Care Ministries
The diaconate is the primary engine of care and support within our community. The Deacons assist the Elders in achieving the mission of the church by caring for, praying for, and serving the individuals and families we worship alongside.
Deacon's Fund (Benevolence)
Our deacon’s fund exists to provide financial assistance to those in our congregation and local community who are facing unexpected hardships or emergencies. Your generous donations to this fund allow us to offer a helping hand to those in need, whether it’s covering medical bills, preventing utility shut-offs, or unexpected repairs.
Meal Trains
We are committed to supporting our community by organizing meal trains for individuals and families in need. If you are welcoming a new family member through birth or adoption, recovering from a sickness or surgery, or just going through a difficult time, our Deacons can help get the word out and invite our community to share a meal.
Rides to Church
Our church organizes rides to ensure everyone in our family can join us for worship. If you don’t have transportation, let us help you get to church, so you can focus on what truly matters—fellowship and faith.
Visitation
Our church organizes visitation support to those who are homebound, hospitalized, or in need of companionship. Pastors, deacons, elders, small group leaders, and lay people provide connection and a listening ear, ensuring every family member feels cared for and connected to our community.
Other Care and Support Ministries
Foster Care Ministry
We partner with Fostering Hope in their mission to support children and families impacted by foster care. Through building relationships, supporting events, organizing drives, and forming “care communities” for bio, foster, and kinship families, we seek to create a culture of hope and healing for families impacted by foster care. For more information about this ministry, contact Laura.
Counseling Support
We recognize that God cares for every aspect of our lives, including our emotional and mental health. When life’s challenges feel overwhelming an important part of your care can be connecting to a counselor. We are able to recommend trusted Christian counselors and therapists who can offer holistic, Christ-centered care. These professionals integrate biblical truth with practical wisdom, offering support in areas like relationships, personal growth, and mental well-being. Our hope is that through these resources, you’ll experience God’s healing and renewal as part of His ongoing work in your life. Reach out to Richard for more information.
