VBS

Registration is now open!

We are aware that classes are starting to fill. If your child’s grade is full, please join the waitlist and know that our team will reach out to you if a spot becomes available. Last year, we were able to move some–but not all–students from waitlists to fully-registered students due to registration cancellations. If your child’s grade is full but a waitlist has not yet opened, please email laura@nscbc.org.

What is VBS?

VBS (Vacation Bible School) is a week long adventure in the truths of the Christian faith and a ministry to children and families both within the church and in the surrounding community.

What happens at VBS?

Each day begins with a large group presentation with music, skits, and a bible memory verse centered around a daily theme.

Then kids join with kids of their same age/grade in the daily rotation of crafts, lessons, music, outdoor games, and snacks.

The day ends with another large-group session of music, skits, and a summary of the daily teaching.

What is taught at VBS

This year’s theme is “Magnified!” In our time together we will encourage kids to look closely at the details of God’s amazing world and magnify, or proclaim, the greatness of God. God made us, cares about us, loves us, forgives us, and is faithful to keep all His promises to us. We can praise God together! We were made to magnify God!

You do not need to attend our church to attend our VBS!

FAQs

What should my child bring?

For most, nothing at all! Water will be provided regularly throughout each morning. Please do NOT send a water bottle as we’ve learned from experience that these are easily lost at VBS.

Sunscreen! Please apply sunscreen before dropping off at the church. Comfortable clothing and shoes.

If your child has an epi-pen or other medical device needed on-site, please do bring it! Our volunteers will carry it around with them throughout the week. If your child has an allergy requiring an action plan, please bring this completed action plan form on the first day of VBS. We will have gluten free/dairy free snacks available. If your child with an allergy would prefer to bring a snack from home, please do so.

Our physical classroom space is limited. If you signed up for a waitlist, you will be contacted by email if a spot opens up for your child(ren). If you no longer wish to be on the waitlist, please let us know! You can contact Laura at laura@nscbc.org.

Donations

Consider donating to our VBS budget! This helps us keep VBS free for all families.

Easter Sunday Services,
April 20th
9a and 11a!

Children’s Ministry:

Nursery, Preschool Worship, and Children‘s Worship (ages 4.5-2nd grade) are during both services (instead of Sunday School).

There will be activity bags for older kids (3rd grade+) during this (shorter) worship service.

The Easter/Resurrection egg hunt will be in Preschool Worship and Children‘s Worship, instead of between the services.
