Our Bicentennial (1829-2029) Capital Campaign
We’re launching a campaign to renovate our building in support of our growing ministries as we seek a gospel movement on the North Shore.
Here’s why: For 200 years, the people of NSCBC have been committed to the hope that the gospel can transform individuals and communities with God’s love through Christ.
Our building is to a gospel movement what a trellis is to a vine—a supporting structure. It guides, orients, upholds, and aims the vine toward its source of Life. It’s a place where we encounter the living God, hear and respond to the gospel, welcome our neighbors, and grow as Jesus’ disciples together.
We love our building, but aging, inefficient infrastructure, and lack of accessibility create real barriers to ministry. Our vision is to remove these barriers as we create beautiful, welcoming, safe, and functional spaces for generations to come.
Our Forming the Future campaign seeks to restore the beautiful history of the physical building and honor the stories of all who worshipped here, while making spaces for ministry for the next 200 years.
Building Plans
What We're Doing
Based on our ministry priorities and where we are seeing God cultivating fruit, we plan to address three crucial spaces for ministry: unify our children’s space, renovate our central relational spaces, and restore our sacred space – our sanctuary. We believe this will have generational impact as we serve a gospel movement on the North Shore.
Our Vision
Why We're Doing It
Everyone needs spaces where they find belonging, form deep and meaningful friendships, and are fully known. We believe the church is where a weary world can find rest, connection, and ultimately God himself. Together we can cultivate spaces where the gospel is proclaimed and lives and communities are transformed.

How We're Working Together
While developing plans for our building, every decision has been made thoughtfully, with prayer and input from the congregation. The Forming the Future campaign is the culmination of years of preparation and discernment.
Hear from our church:
“It’s inspiring to consider that our church has been around for 200 years. I’ve seen the pictures of what the church looked like all those years ago and the progression since. Someone had the vision to make it go from this to that, and all of us are enjoying it. Now it’s our turn to steward this 200-year-old building. We see what God has done in the past, and we believe in what he will do in the future.”
