Welcome Fund

NSCBC Welcome Fund

Supporting Refugees, Migrants, and Newcomers in Our Community

The NSCBC Welcome Fund is a dedicated fund established to provide resources for ministries and initiatives that welcome, assist, and accompany refugees, migrants, and newcomers as they establish themselves in our community.

Your Gift Makes a Direct Impact

When you donate to the Welcome Fund, 100% of your contribution goes directly to welcome ministries—not to general church operations. This dedicated fund ensures that every dollar you give supports programs that address immediate needs, foster belonging, and build sustainable community connections for our newest neighbors.

How Your Donation Helps

Your gift to the Welcome Fund supports vital services including:

  • Direct assistance for refugees and migrants with housing, transportation, and essential supplies
  • Language and cultural orientation services to help newcomers navigate their new community
  • Legal aid and documentation support for immigration and resettlement needs
  • Community integration programs and cultural celebrations that build bridges
  • Education and vocational training to support long-term success
  • Emergency support for families in transition
  • Partnerships with local refugee resettlement organizations

Dedicated Fund, Transparent Oversight

The Welcome Fund operates as a restricted fund with dedicated oversight:

  • All disbursements are managed by our Outreach Ministries Director in cooperation with the Finance Committee
  • Every use of funds must align with the Welcome Fund’s specific mission
  • The congregation receives annual reports on the fund’s balance and activities
  • Administrative costs from NSCBC are not paid for from this fund, leaving all money to go direct to welcome ministries

Making Your Gift

When you donate to the Welcome Fund, please clearly designate your gift for the “Welcome Fund.” This can be done online here, or by check to North Shore Community Baptist Church, 9 Hart St, Beverly MA, 01915 – Memo: Welcome Fund.

Your generosity extends Christian hospitality to our neighbors from diverse backgrounds and circumstances, creating a more welcoming community for all.
